All Bereaved Children Deserve a Healthy & Prosperous Future

Today, more than two million children in the United States have experienced the death of at least one parent or caregiver. These children face significant challenges and they need our help!

Concurrent mortality epidemics – including COVID-19, overdose, suicide, maternal mortality, and homicide – have devastated families across the nation. As a result, millions of children have experienced the death of at least one parent or caregiver. These children need our help now!

Children do not just bounce back from the loss of a parent or caregiver. These loses can have sweeping implications lasting a lifetime.

Losing a parent places children at risk of poor academic performance, increased risk of self-harm, depression, youth delinquency, suicide attempts, suicide completion, and premature death from any cause.

To address these challenges, we believe the nation should embrace a bold vision where every bereaved and orphaned child in the United States has access to a robust, compassionate and quality bereavement care system.

Send The White House an email and let them know this is an urgent priority for our children.
