Here’s what you need to know:
- WHY YOU: Your U.S. Senator plays a key role in determining what is included in the NDAA.
- WHAT IS NDAA: The National Defense Authorization Act. On Capitol Hill, it is known as the NDAA.
- WHY NOW: The final version of the 2024 NDAA is being negotiated right now.
- WHY CALL: For every one call your Senator receives, it represents at least 10 voters. Get 10 friends or family to call and you have just given a voice to 1,000 people!

Last year, you helped the U.S. Armed Forces receive 14 days of paid bereavement leave for the death of a spouse or child. Now, they need to be able to come home for the deaths of their parents. Join us in making that change for all our service members and their families!

Remember, you can call Senator Jack Reed from Rhode Island even if you don’t live in Rhode Island. He’s in charge of the committee making this important decision!

I sure hope so. If the House can pass this bill, it seems like the Senate should easily be able to as well.
